The mouse is caught / killed. Poor Joe. He doesn't like to see animals in pain. This mouse... was in a LOT of pain.

Cooking & "Mouse" Part II

This weekend I made 12 quarts of salsa, a gallon of homemade baked beans, a few plates of homemade tortilla chips, 5 gallons of beer, and 9 quarts of pickles with Joe. Before that we held a feast with fresh bread and homemade venison / lentil stew. It was good.

And for the mouse update... We have mouse traps along every wall. I spotted it twice. I didn't throw our microwave at it this time, but I did make Mike (now living upstairs) honestly think we were having an earthquake. Dave (in response to your recent comment): we have only ONE mouse. Our place is too clean! More would starve. I will keep you posted...

Mouse

So... there's a mouse in my house. I'm quite saddened. Rodent problems for a moderate germ-a-phobe are a negative. I think I'll add a dozen mouse traps and borrow a cat for a day or two. On the bright side, the house has been remarkably clean recently. Ever since Mike moved out... no coincidence there. I'm happy Joe and I keep the place so nice together.
