We spent basically all Friday afternoon on the puzzle obstacle course. Since it was a way of grading our leadership abilities, we took frequent breaks (after each "puzzle") for a leadership evaluation.
The Constitution Paper is one of the many academic assignments we get. We've spent about 8 hours / day in lectures this week and last. The first week was financial briefing, sexual assault / alcohol abuse / other bad stuff prevention. The second week focused on Call For Fire (which means "please make high explosive land here") and combat medical lifesaving. The third week focused on leadership, training, coaching, mentoring, and counseling. This is the fourth week and we're focusing on infantry tactics. In short, OCS is every bit as academic as it is physical. The picture above is from a class on symbols. Below is a map with a few sloppy symbols...
OC Davison presenting a tactic for assault by fire (actually I don't remember exactly what he said, but that sounds good):
This is OC Staples. He's making battle plans.
