Rifle PT and Road Marches

I did a LOT of rifle PT in Basic. Here we don't usually even have a rifle. In fact, these rifles are "rubber ducks". That is just a nickname for fake rifles. The pictures aren't great since it's dark, but I had to document, of course. Below is OC Spinali. He's pretty cool--always upbeat and energetic.

This morning we had what I personally consider a medium load march. We only had an assault pack on our backs, though we did have body armor. I didn't take pictures till it was light enough, and I couldn't stop, so it's a little blurry.

Seven miles at a brisk pace--mostly a lower leg workout. The load puts pressure on the shins and calves.
